Main Applications

Regular style standard hoisting line found on some older type overhead cranes models. 6x31 is used on small diameter hoisting ropes.

Rope Characteristics

10 outer wires makes these ropes a little more flexible than 6x19 Seale, but remain less flexible than 6x36 ropes with 12 outer wires.
Figure this: 6x26 is groupled under the 6x19 Class, while 6x31 is grouped under the 6x37 Class athough both have 10 outer wires and can not be distinguished by their outside appearance.
