RFID tags are small electronic chips embedded into some of our rigging products. They themselves do not store any information but contain an unique identifier which are the ‘key’ to unlock product, inspection, and important safety information.

The information itself is stored in a database which can be read by any computer with access to the internet. NO special software is required, just your late version internet browser like Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Netscape, etc.

The following is a much abbreviated version of the Unirope® RFID System:

Your log-in screen requires a username and password which you can define and set yourself.

Once you are logged in you can search by a number of criteria. If you used an RFID scanner this will bring you directly to your specific rigging product. If you don’t have a scanner you can search by sling ID number, serial number, last inspection ID number, product type, etc.

Once you found the piece of equipment you were looking for this screen now provides all the details like WLL, Proof Load, and safety information. If you need more information one click will bring you to our web site. If you want to download our original manufacturer’s certificate, well, that’s also just a click away. This screen enables you to view all inspections, repairs and proof tests of your sling or rigging equipment. Plus, you can now view and set your inspection schedule.

This is one of three (depending on product) screens which enables you to perform an inspection according to the ASME B30.9 inspection criteria (including all known Canadian Provincial Inspection Law requirements). All inspection points are listed and the user now must confirm, or not confirm, on the condition of each sling’s part or detail.

This is a Certificate of Inspection and is automatically generated when an item PASSED or FAILED a visual inspection procedure (see previous panel); inspections done either by us OR by your own staff. However, if done by your own staff this certificate would not bear our company logo.

This is our Proof Test Certificate and is only issued if the sling or rigging equipment has actually passed a Proof Test; either by our mobile units, or by our in-house testing equipment. The graph displayed is automatically generated by our test bed is sent via the internet to the server which attaches it to the test certificate generated by the Unirope® RFID System.

A useful tool is our Inspection Schedule Calendar. Here you can monitor when inspections are due, what the status of an ongoing inspection is (under repair, waiting for decision, etc.), and when the next inspection is arranged for.

Scanning of a lifting chain tag with an embedded RFID chip brings up all product- and safety information, as well as the past inspection history.
