| Unirope manufactures utility specific
products like handline assemblies with modified aluminum rope blocks. This
product was developed and tested together with HydroOne, meets their specification
and is approved by them. Modified Double Rope Assemblies were developed
together with the 'old' Ontario Hydro Kipling yard. It was found that the
OEM rope assemblies for the Asplundh LR50 did not perform as expected and
we were ask to improve on the design. These assemblies are now manufactured
using a high fatigue resistant Python® rope to minimize the possibility
of unexpected rope failures. Furthermore, we still have an LR 50 cable assembly
inspection program in place which, due to many circumstances, right now
is inactive but can be revitalized at any time. |
