Repair and
Re-Certification
Repairs of synthetic slings should only be done by a reputable synthetic
sling manufacturer who has the proper test facilities to proof load all
repaired slings. Twin-Path® slings must ONLY be repaired by an authorized
and licensed Twin-Path® manufacturer. Web slings should never be repaired
if structually damaged. Tubular sling products (Uni-Path®, Twin-Path®)
should never be repaired if load bearing yarns are cut.
Sling hardware (shackles, rings, triangles, etc) may be re-used after inspection
and proof-testing.
All repaired slings are proof loaded to twice their Rated Capacity (2 x
WLL) and, if applicable, have a new tag attached.
Upon request we will issue a Test Certificate for the repaired sling. |

Inspection
Service at Customer Location
Here's what we do
|

| • |
|
If not already done we
take a complete inventory of all your lifting slings and devices
and create a database for your location |
|
| • |
|
Assign serial numbers |
|
| • |
|
Perform a visual inspection |
|
| • |
|
Create a complete listing
of all lifting slings stating type, serial number, recommended
repairs, and expected cost. At this point YOU decide if you
want us to proceed |

|
| Based on visual
inspection only, NO lifting sling product can be re-certified.
We HAVE to perform proof tests at our plant to verify and confirm
sling safety. |

|
Repair
and Proof Testing at Unirope

If required make repairs
as outlined in our generated Visual Inspection Report |

Proof Load the product
to 2 x WLL or as required |
|
| • |
|
After Proof Load we check
for any deformations to make sure the product has withstood
the proof load and is fit for service |

|
Attach a tag or mark the
product |
| |
|
|
| NOW we issue
a proper TEST CERTIFICATE for your files and to present it to
official Safety Inspectors. Our Sling Inspectors are third party
certified by WRRC and factory trained. |
