Inspection, Repair, Re-Certification, and RFID Tags
Our Testing and Inspection team performs these services at Unirope or at the customer’s (Ontario and Quebec only) location. ALL of our Inspection and Repair services are managed with the help of our on-line inspection system. This system may, or may not, employ RFID tags.
The advantage for you is that you can have access to all inspection details, results, test certificates, inspection schedules etc., via the internet 24/7/365. In fact, you can even do your own inspections (as required by your Provincial safety legislation) and enter them into the same database. You can assign your own serial- or unique ID numbers, you can assign in which department or location the sling or lifting equipment is located; you can even change the location if the sling ‘moves around’ within your plant or within your company. Of course at any time you can print, as often as you want, any test certificate on file.
And, best of all, in the event of a safety inspection you have a fully traceable sling inspection record on hand. Plus, at your fingertips you have a full listing of all slings and lifting equipment in your possession, and you are able to sort that list by internal location/department, type of sling, serial number, next inspection date, etc.
In addition you have a record of all inspection and product repairs done by Unirope, who tested it, what was repaired, why, and when. |

RFID tags are small electronic chips embedded into some of our rigging products. They themselves do not store any information but contain an unique identifier which are the ‘key’ to unlock product, inspection, and important safety information.
The information itself is stored in a database which can be read by any computer with access to the internet. NO special software is required, just your late version internet browser like Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Netscape, etc. |
