RANGE OF APPLICATION

The LL/LLA can be used as a transmitter for weighing and measuring of tractive forces.

The LL and LLA are suitable as transmitters in overload guards.

LL = Link without transducer amplifier

LLA = Link with built-in transducer amplifier

FUNCTION

The tractive force that affects the Link is measured by means of strain gauges. Four gauges in a Wheatstone bridge are fed with a constant voltage. The output signal from the bridge is proportional to the force on the Link.

The transducer amplifier of the LLA amplifies and converts the signal to a current signal of 4-20 mA which is resistant to interference. This signal corresponds to the capacity of the transducer. The amplified signal can manage a distance of at least 500 m between the amplifier and the electronic unit.

The Electronic Units are delivered with a built-in transducer amplifier for the LL Link and without amplifier for the LLA Link. The electronic units can be connected to one or more load links for summation of partial loads. The Electronic Units are provided with outputs for alarm and switch functions, indications and signal processing.

The LL/LLA must not be exposed to strong bending and turning moments.

TECHNICAL DATA

Accuracy   The accuracy of the Link is better than 0.2% of the max. capacity.
Temperature Range   -20°C to +70°C. The Link is temperature compensated with regard to both span and zero-offset.
Material   Toughened steel, zinc coated and yellow chromated. Extra: polyester lacquering.
Safety   Guaranteed safety against rupture 5 times nominal load. The Link can be overloaded up to 50% without affecting the accuracy.
  International Protection
Specification Class
  IP 67
Connection   The transducer amplifier of the LLA shall be fed with 15-30 VDC. Current consumption approx. 60 mA. The LL is fitted with an external transducer amplifier.
Output Signal   The output signal from the transducer amplifier is a well-defined current signal of 4-20 mA. The signal is resistant to interference and can manage serial resistances up to 250 ohm.
  Cable   Length = 4 m as standard
LL - 4 x 0.5 mm2 shielded cable
LLA - 4 x 1.5 mm2 unshielded cable
The LLA cable transmits supply voltage to the transducer amplifier and Link as well as an output signal from the transducer amplifier to the electronic unit.
The cable can be placed close to other live cables without affecting the measuring signal.
