RANGE OF APPLICATION

Piab's series of battery driven, digital craneweighers can be used wherever accurate weighing is required. The low weight of the craneweighers makes them easy to move between different cranes, telphers, overhead cranes and other lifting equipment for the weighing of:

• Incoming and outgoing goods
• Raw material and materials for profiles, beams, plates, etc.
• Machines, sacks, bales, etc.

Piab's digital craneweighers are designed for indoor or outdoor industrial use, and conform to the International Protection Specification Class IP 65 according to IEC 529.

FUNCTION

The load is measured by means of strain gauges. Four strain gauges are connected in a Wheatstone bridge and fed with a stabilized voltage. The signal output from the bridge is proportional to the load on the hook of the craneweigher. The signal is amplified, converted and the load is shown on the digital display (LCD). Because of the backlight the display is easy to read even at some distance.

     
     
     
SAFETY

The craneweigher is guaranteed to withstand a load of 5 times full scale reading before rupture. It may be overloaded by 100% without affecting the accuracy of measurement. The display flashes by overload. Overload indication by flashing goes on up to 125% of the max. capacity. The display will show "OVERLOAD" when the overload is higher.

     
     
     
WEIGHING AND FORCE MEASUREMENT

Piab have manufactured mechanical craneweighers for more than 30 years. The capacities for the digital electronic craneweighers are 4400 lb. (2000 kg.), 11,000 lb. (5000 kg) and 22000 lb. (10000 kg). Piab also produce equipment for force measurement and overload protection.
