DAVE WRIGHT
Rigging Consultant
Dave is originally from the Birmingham area in England where he worked in
the steel distribution industry. In 1988, love and marriage swept him on
to our shores. Once settled down in Toronto, and once he noticed all the
tower cranes and construction activity here he decided that our industry
must have some opportunities for someone with a metals trade background.
Since that time 18 years ago he has gained considerable experience with
the construction industry and construction cranes in particular.
Dave is married to Michele, has two sons of which one of them is a passionate
hockey player. Dave's past time activities include cottage life, ice fishing
and, consequently, cooking his catches. |

CARL STEINKE
Wire Rope Consultant; Edmonton Branch
As long as he can remember, Carl's professional life revolved around wire
rope. As a native of Alberta, he had a first hand experience of how the
oil and gas industry evolved and what technical challenges this industry
required to be solved. There is not much he hasn't seen in his career.
Carl is our resident Wire Rope Consultant for the Western Provinces and
not only does he consult with the energy sector but also with the logging,
pulp and paper and mining industry. As a 'family man' he enjoys time with
his wife and young daughter as much as he can. |

PIERRE BARIBEAULT
Rigging Consultant; Montreal Branch
Pierre is one of our Rigging Consultants in Quebec. His specific expertise is to work with and solve problems in the more 'sophisticated' manufacturing sector, involving aircraft- and component companies. But, that will not prevent him to also lend his expertise to anyone who needs a guiding professional 'Rigging Hand'. In 2009 Pierre successfully completed the SlingMax® 'Train-the-Trainer Rigging Course'. As with all our Quebec staff members he is fully bilingual.
His past time passion is hunting and target shooting.

CORY ESKRA
Inspection and Testing Manager
Cory is one of our most experienced Rigging Products Consultants. He moved
up through the ranks of our organization and happened to meet a lot of our
customers during his time in our inside sales department and his previous
position as Product Manager for Architectural Wire Rope Systems. He also
used to help out in the rope shop. He knows what it takes to splice a rope
and to swage a socket.
Because of this background in rigging manufacturing and rigging application,
Cory has now taken over our Field Inspection and Testing Service as well
our 150,000 lbs capacity Mobile Test Bed management. Cory is one of the first Canadians who was certified by the NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) as a certified rigging professional (Certification #100756728). If you see on Ontario
roads his 40 ft rigg pulled by that ‘black beauty’ of an F450
Diesel, you know he is helping someone to ensure a safer workplace.
Cory enjoys to make music with his Rock band but listens to every genre.
Another past time favorite, which he shares with his wife, is wake-boarding.
Hangon to the rope, Cory! |

ROBERT NEMETH
Rigging Consultant
Bob is one of our 'oldtimers' not in age but in experience. Back
some 20 years ago he joined our sales team to promote rigging products to
the construction industry. Together with Canron Construction Bob was instrumental
in specifying Twin-Path® Lifting Slings for the famous 'New York Lift';
at that time these lifts between 300 to and 750 tons set a new world record
for syntehic lifting slings.
Bob is an avid golfer and great golf coach; however that hasn't increased
Unirope's handicap ... yet. |
